UUNZ:
How did you find the services of VAKOM?
Tik:
VAKOM’s service was very good. They did everything for me.
They gave me lots of information about New Zealand, for example the
weather and lots of information about UUNZ. They also told me all about
living in a homestay and what I should expect.
UUNZ:
Did it take you long to feel comfortable in NZ?
Tik:
When I first came I was very nervous.
I had never lived away from my family before. I was met at the airport
by aUUNZ staff member who was very nice and made me feel ok.
I was nervous to meet my homestay family but they made me feel very
comfortable. After 2 or 3 days I was fully relaxed and happy.

UUNZ:
Tell me about your homestay?
Tik:
They are great! I love them. They feel like my family now.Their house
is very nice and new and I have my own shower and bathroom.
The house is very close to school and my homestay mum takes me to
school everyday. It takes us about 3 minutes in the car. The mothers cooking is very nice. They love Thai food and like me to teach them
how to make some Thai dishes. I will be very sad to leave them.
UUNZ:
How do you like NZ?
Tik:
New Zealand is very beautiful and the people are very kind.
The public transport is really good and the traffic is not bad at all.
The traffic is very different to Bangkok.
UUNZ:
What about UUNZ?
Tik:
The school is very nice and clean. There are good rest and recreation
areas to enjoy your lunch and talk with other students.
I use the internet everyday to communicate with friends and family
at home. My class is very fun and I have made some good friends.
My two teachers speak very clearly and can explain things well.
UUNZ:
What do you plan on doing when you finish here at UUNZ?
Tik:
I think I will extend my course and study IELTS.
This school’s IELTS programme is excellent and I hope to get
a good score and then do a diploma in business.
UUNZ:
Have you changed at all after coming to NZ?
Tik:
I have not changed much I think. I have however gained more
confidence and think I am a more interesting person now.
New Zealand is the first foreign country I have been to and now
I want to travel to many many more in the future.
